A message from your Drake Councillors

Councillor Charlotte Holloway

ree

Firstly a very merry Christmas and season’s greetings. This year has been a difficult one for many, with the growing cost of living crisis, but it has also seen very many positive things happen in our local community, such as how we came together during the Jubilee, in providing for local foodbanks, and so much more. It really was an absolute privilege to be elected as your local councillor back in May, and six months in I must say I am enjoying it even more that I thought I would. My door is open to everyone, whether you voted for me or not, so get in touch if I can help with anything at all.

I want to say a big thank you to the Greenbank Neighbourhood Trust and other community spaces like Onward House who do so much to bring our community together, and to any residents who have been in touch or joined one of the public meetings. I’m determined that we work as one big team to build on what’s special about our area, and I’m focused on working to launch a Community Safety Plan with partners including the police in early 2023.

It has been great to support and serve the local community through grants and funding over the past year, especially the Mutley Greenbank Trust which continues to deliver a vital service in the community.
