Back in June our young people, volunteers, trustees, and members of the local community attended our AGM (Annual General Meeting). It was a brilliant opportunity to come together and showcase the impact of Mutley Greenbank Trust projects, and plans for the future.
Our aim is to help build a stronger, more vibrant, integrated community in which everyone is included and feels welcome. Many of our young people shared their thoughts on the positive effect MGT Youth projects have had on their independence, confidence and plans for their future.

On a Tuesday and Thursday Evening Our Detached Team in partnership with Plymouth City Council's Community Connections support young people in hard to reach areas. We provide street games, sports and a safe space to talk about any issues around school, home, friendships, anti-social behaviour, substance abuse, and county lines. Also signposting young people to local activities and support networks.
Over the past year we have also offered positive activities including weekly cooking sessions, group visits to Plymouth Hoe and the local retro arcade, intergenerational trips to Dartmoor Zoo and Woodlands Theme Park, and more.

Our young people enjoyed helping to plan and cook for the community at Tothill Community Centre's Halloween party and our Christmas lunch for local senior citizens. These events not only give them the opportunity to develop their skills in a social setting but also help us achieve our mission to empower and facilitate Mutley and Greenbank residents challenging poverty, inequality and isolation.

We also heard from local residents who shared what our community sessions and support have meant to them:
"I first came into the community office to ask for help with benefit advice. The staff were so helpful and friendly I now come in most days. Thank you so much."
"Although I come in to use the computers I really enjoy a good banter with the staff as they are really helpful and good company I live on my own."
With the help of our amazing volunteers we offer friendly drop-in sessions for all at our office including:
Blossom Buddies, Women's Wellbeing and Volunteering Group - Mondays, 1-3pm
Computer lessons with Steve - Wednesdays, 12.30-2.30pm
Jon's Merry Men's Music Club - Fridays, 1-3pm
